2019-2020: The Idea
From a problem, an idea was born—brought to life through 3D printing. The first ATACH prototypes were inspired by existing surfboard shapes, engineered with innovative fill-pattern construction for optimal lightness and strength.

In January 2021, the first model hit the water—and it was a success. That early win sparked the next phase: designing better, stronger joints and building new models to push modular surfing even further...

The next models played a key role in refining both the joint system and surfing performance. As we moved closer to mass production, we faced a new challenge—materials. Our early prototypes weren’t scalable, so we pivoted.

We transitioned to Wood and EPS with Fiberglass, striking the right balance between durability, performance, and manufacturability. These two evolved models became the foundation of ATACH—and they’re still active today.
